God intended sex between married couples to be enjoyable. As Lewis Smedes, professor of theology at Fuller Seminary once said, “God made us body people. Bodies are meant to play and, we can add, to be played with.”

Many of the Christian couples that we counselled came to us with a dilemma. They wanted to be able to fully enjoy the intimate, physical aspects of their marriage but were unsure of how to truly explore those aspects while still pleasing God.  Too often, they had been raised with the notion that anything other than ‘regular’ sex (ie: lights out, missionary position) was immoral and sinful. Therefore, they were afraid to try new things…even though both partners admitted they would like to add more excitement and fun into their sexual lives together.

This book puts those ideas to rest. It offers tangible, creative and REAL information that will help Christian couples to make the sex in their marriages a positive, relationship-bonding and strengthening experience, while safely exploring ways to bring more fun and play into the bedroom.

Why We Liked It:

There are no shortage of books to be found about sexual games. However, the vast majority of these are not written from a Christian sensibility. They make no distinction between married and pre-marital sex, and include images that are basically soft-core pornography.

Sexual Fun And Games For The Christian Couple avoids all of this. It’s the only couple’s sex games book we’ve seen that  remains sensitive to the Christian couple’s desire to not engage in any immoral or spiritually distasteful activities. There is no vulgar language, and no graphic pictures. In fact, there is nothing in the book that would be considered “off-limits” to a Christian couple looking to add some excitement to their sexual relationship while at the same time honoring God.

At the same time, the playful activities in this book are fun and interesting enough for even non-Christians to enjoy — which is wonderful if only one partner in the marriage is Christian! Morally correct doesn’t ever have to mean boring.

Also, you won’t have to make a trip to adult-oriented stores to try out the ideas in this book. Everything they offer is designed to be explored in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Interested, but! What is your mission statement and what exactly are your foundational beliefs?
Is any of this soft porn?

  • admin says:

    Hi Valerie,

No, not soft porn at all. There’s no vulgar language or explicit or distasteful pictures. It’s intended for married Christians who want to celebrate and explore their mutual intimacy without being exposed to anything ‘dirty’ or immoral.

We are both Presbyterians and retired marriage counsellors.
